GWO Certified Scaffolder
Location: Various Sites | Job Type: Full-Time | Salary: Dependent on experience
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Scaffolder with valid GWO certification to join our growing team supporting major infrastructure projects across wind energy and National Grid sites.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of renewable energy and power transmission, supporting safe access solutions for turbines, substations, and high-voltage infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Erecting, modifying, and dismantling scaffold structures on wind turbines, substations, and related infrastructure.
- Working at height and in confined spaces in line with GWO safety standards.
- Maintaining compliance with National Grid requirements and site-specific safety protocols.
- Collaborating with site engineers, rope access technicians, and HSE teams.
- Completing scaffold inspections, risk assessments, and safety documentation.
Essential Requirements
- Valid GWO Certification (BST minimum: Working at Heights, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, First Aid).
- Tub fitting & System Training – Required
- CISRS Scaffolder Certification (Part 2 or Advanced preferred).
- At least 2 years’ experience in industrial or offshore scaffolding.
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Desirable
- Offshore or Wind Turbine industry experience.
- Confined space or rescue training
- National Grid Person Training
