The platform will be available to purchase direct from Sonic Edge and can be deployed in as little as 12 weeks.
The impact of the Submer and Sonic Edge partnership
The HPC and Edge industry itself has seen exponential growth over the past 10 years thanks to the technological advancements in telecommunications such as 5G, IoT and the wider adoption of AI throughout different industries. The HPC and Edge industry have unique requirements when it comes to infrastructure thanks to their need for high-powered compute, low latency and positioning in harsh environments. Figures now suggest that the market was valued at USD 39.1 billion in 2019 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.5% from 2020 to 2027. The growing need for high-efficiency computing continued diversification, and expansion of the IT industry, and the increase in preference for hybrid High-Performance Computing (HPC) solutions are some of the factors which could explain the growth rate.
